The first rum in The Bristol Rum Company’s story originates from the city of Barranquilla, the ‘Golden Gates’ of Colombia. Located on the north coast, the warm temperatures and high humidity of Barranquilla makes rum from the region some of the finest in the world. The Bristol Rum Company embraces the unique style of Colombian Rum. Made from molasses fermentation and with continuous distillation, Sofia has a light make up that sets it apart from the rest of the crowd. 

Stored in ex-bourbon oak barrels and aged for 3 years, Sofia is packed full of personality and flavour. Boasting notes of oak, tobacco, coffee, vanilla and banana, each sip brings the flavours of freshly cut sugar cane and the tastes of its Colombian heritage. We believe these flavours speak for themselves, which is why our rum contains zero grams of added sugar.
